On our way from
Hilo to
Kona we cruised past the volcano at night. We were exhausted from the days activities but wanted to see it. It was an amazing site. The pictures do not do it justice at all. The lava poured out into the ocean and the steam just billowed. Awesome.

In the morning we were in
Kona and decided to do some snorkeling. It was so cool. We saw a lot of different kinds of fish. It was like we were back at the aquarium. We saw the state fish.
Humuhumunukunukuapua'a Everyone say that three times fast:) It is also called the Trigger fish. I was able to snorkel next to a sea turtle. Really cool. There were three that were eating the algae off the rocks. Duane bought some tubes for everyone to use. We took them to the rest of the islands with us. Everyone had a great time with them. Thanks D.

Mom and dad took off the explore the Island with a friend they went to school with. He lives on the island. Melonie, Josh, Mason and Duane went off shopping for a bit. We enjoyed
Kona a lot.
