We had a great field trip today at Tigertail beach on Marco Island. Our guide Brian was great. Helped the kids catch and identify many things.
Faith and friends helping get the water to hold the specimens.
This is the bay side of the park. They catch a lot of different animals. They are trying to identify them here.
Luke holding a jar with something in it. It was a fish that looked just like sea grass.
As we were identifying things this Blue crab came right p to say hello. Brian moved quickly so we could get a closer look at it.
Done with this round of specimens time to let them go.
There were tons of crabs digging around in the sand. One of them lost its claw and Faith found it.
Once we were done with the bay waters (estuary), we took off to cross the bay and head over to the Gulf. It was very funny watching all of us carrying our stuff going across the bay and trying not to fall in. I was grateful to have my big strong mans arm(thank you Raul) to hold on to as I went across. It was quiet a bit deeper coming back as the tide was coming in.
