Kennedy Space Center

We have been studying Astronomy this year and were excited to go to the KSC. With us on this trip was Papa, Grandma and Abuela.
Driving in you see this big replica of the shuttle so of course Luke made his way through the park straight to it.

You were able to walk inside two levels. Very cool and big.
So much to see but you have to stop and take some fun pictures. My mom and mom-in-law
They had so many different things to climb in to. Here the kids are getting ready to take off.
On the bus tour we were able to see the shuttle on the launch pad. It stays on the pad at least 30days before take off. Next launch is scheduled for April 19, 2011
We watched a 3D movie about the Hubble telescope and they showed the Astronauts riding in a van to the launch pad. On the bus tour we were able to see the bus, inside and out.
I think Faith found every cartoon character in the place. At least she let me take a picture with them.

You can tell Luke was loving it
There were so many things to interact with. Papa and Luke are flying the shuttle and trying not to crash land.
Grandma and Faith were playing a game like pong. You could actually see them on the screen up top. KSC was so much fun if you have some time go check it out.
While we were there we camped right by Cape Canaveral Port. Camping is always fun especially when see God's creation.

We spent our nights fishing and watching the ships come and go. We were trying to gauge if we ran fast enough would we be able to make the jump over the water onto the ship.
Nope, we had to let this one go.
Next time we will be on the ship waving to the people on the shore.
