Rookery Bay

We have been studying Marine Biology so we decided to take a field trip to Rookery Bay Estuary www.rookerybay.org
This is a 2,300 gallon tank they have in the lobby. Filled with live fish.
There are a lot of exhibits/aquariums to look at. The kids were giving a scavenger hunt which helped them (Luke) to slow down and look at everything.
They have a research center and you are able to look at different things under the microscopes.
They had a touch tank while we were there. It had little horseshoe crabs, sea stars, sea cucumber, shrimp and some others. Grandma and Faith are looking very intently at something in the tank.

After looking all around, watching a quick movie, seeing 2 manatees go under the bridge and finishing the hunt they took a trip on a boat. It looks like Faith is driving while Luke does some crab fishing.
I was a little disappointed because the trails were closed until July because of construction but the kids had a good time and we were able to learn a little more about the world God made.
We brought grandma home and Faith wanted to take BJ for a ride on the bike. He loves to ride.
Luke's turn
If you get a change take a trip over to Rookery Bay. You will not be disappointed.
