Bug Class

The kids were in a 4-H Entomology (Bug) class this year. We learned how to collect and identify different kids of bugs. They Found, Froze, Pinned and displayed the bugs. They had a great time with it. Everywhere we went we were keeping our eyes open for interesting ones. Big or small. The class ended right in time to display them in the county fair. Here is the picture of the booth our club put together that was in the 4-H tent.Faith did a fantastic job on her box. She earned a 3rd place (smaller red ribbon) and recieve $3.00. We also received a Red ribbon (bigger ribbon) for our Entomology booth.
Luke also did a fantastic job. He was alot more eager to find bugs than Faith. A boy thing I guess. He earned a 1st place (blue ribbon) and a overall best in divison (purple). He came home with $15.00.
We are so proud of them both. When we were cleaning up everything we went over to see one of our friends in the livestock tent. The kids decided they wanted to leave the bugs behind next year and raise some livestock instead. Not to sure about that :)
